Murals and other decorative wall finishes have interested our ancestors for thousands of years. We can see examples of painted finishes in ancient Roman villas, and in Pompeii. When marble was not affordable they would create the "look" of it by painting it on the existing wood, or mundane looking stone. Walls, floors, ceilings, doors, and even furniture can be painted in just about any effect or style that you desire. Interiors glow with walls that have been decorated with these beautiful and "magical" surfaces.
Murals can carry an entire pictorial theme ranging anywhere from a gothic castle theme (which would look stunning in a den or a library), to a farm animal theme which can create a playful and animated scene in a child's room. The possibilities are endless.
